Review: Wolfsbane (Nightshade #2) by Andrea Cremer

When Calla Tor wakes up in the lair of the Searchers, her sworn enemies, she’s certain her days are numbered. But then the Searchers make her an offer—one that gives her the chance to destroy her former masters and save the pack—and the man—she left behind. Is Ren worth the price of her freedom? And will Shay stand by her side no matter what? Now in control of her own destiny, Calla must decide which battles are worth fighting and how many trials true love can endure and still survive.

Wolfsbane started off a bit slow for me, I wasn't really sucked into the story until about half way through it, but once it picked up I was not disappointed. The alliance with the Searchers brought some really amazing characters to the story. I instantly fell in love with Connor and his amazing one liners and mildly inappropriate humor. I was drawn to Morgan's protective papa bear role and even to Ethan's hard ass brooding. The family dynamics of the group was so touching it made me want to be a member of their squad.

One of the things that amazed me about Nightshade was that for the first time ever, I didn't have a favorite in the proverbial love triangle. I was Team Undecided. In Wolfsbane, the romance is definitely kicked up a notch and I am happy to report that I have officially declared myself Team Shay.

Be prepared for steamier romance, a lot more deception, and a huge cliffhanger at the end. Also, be prepared for Calla to drive you absolutely insane with her indecisiveness. Overall, a great continuation to the series; I don't think you'll be disappointed.
