WTF Does TFEiC Even Mean: The True Story...

By this point, everyone has pretty much heard about the amazing TFEiC event that occurred last weekend in Chicago. A once in a lifetime opportunity; the event of the year! However, what many of you don't know is what TFEiC really stands for...really. The rumor (started by me and a few others actually) is that it stands for "The First Ever Indie Event in Chicago. Well...that may not exactly be accurate. Okay...not even close! I've been given permission from the powers that be to tell my story, so tell it I shall....

A long time ago in a thread far, far away....

It all started when I decided to create the Chicago event website. Let's face it, "The Chicago Event" is a weak name. We needed something....not that! Something better. I group messaged Melissa Brown, Sarah Hansen, & Colleen Hoover letting them know that if I was going to create a website I needed a name. Something awesome. However, what I got was a whole lot of nothing. Don't get me wrong, I got responses, but NOTHING related to naming the event.

As many of you know, I did not attend the event. I knew while we were trying to decide on a name that I wasn't going to be able to make it. So after my final plea to get them to stop talking about everything BUT the event name, I got extremely frustrated and said, "Fine, we're calling it "That F***ing Event in Chicago!" Thus TFEiC was born. True Story! Yes, I may have missed out on the event of a lifetime, but the name will forever be my legacy. READ ON!
