I enjoy reading a story in which the author tries to avoid clichés. One of the things I really enjoyed was that even if Katy was really attracted to Daemon she ignored the temptation and was aware of the fact that there was not love, at least not at first sight. Could you blame her? Daemon's attitude really sucked at times. Still, Katy is strong, intelligent and courageous (almost sacrificing herself for her friends) and my favorite part is that she is a book blogger, kind of obsessed with books when she is not chased by evil aliens. As a plus, the dialogue, especially the one between Katy and Daemon was so funny, the way they always argued made me constantly laugh. Bonus points go to the fact that there was no love triangle; Jennifer L. Armentrout found other ways to keep the lovers apart and no, I did not found Ash a threat to Katy and Daemon's relationship. Like I've said, Daemon is doing a great job in pushing her away, he doesn't need help.
